Holy Spirit Sabbath 2023
We are looking forward to hosting our 3rd Annual Holy Spirit Sabbath coming up on September 23 at the Middletown SDA Church. Since the Covid-19 pandemic our church’s spiritual emphasis has been on inviting the Holy Spirit to rule and lead our Christian life and ministry.
This year we are blessed to have speaker and author pastor Pavel Goia as our in-person guest. He currently serves as the associate ministerial secretary at the General Conference.
Pastor Goia will present four sessions:
- 9:45 am – Pentecost and the Church: in this session we will explore the historical early New Testament church event at Pentecost
- 11:00 am – Personal Pentecost: in this session we apply the principles of the historical Pentecost in our daily, contemporary life living as Christians in the last days
- 12:30 pm – Stay and participate in a fellowship lunch. Bring a dish or two to share.
- 2:00 pm – Revival and the Adventist Church: in this session we will look at the history of spiritual revivals in the Adventist Church from its beginning to present time
- 3:00 pm – Contemporary Reality of the Holy Spirit Around the World: in this session pastor Pavel Goia shares his observations from around the world where the drops of the latter rain are being manifested in God’s people
